October 05, 2007

Please Remember: this e-zine is designed to be brief and informative. No doubt you are like me and do not want to spend hours sifting through irrelevant details. So the Back Pain Adviser is kept brief, with information and tips you can apply now. So on to the issue…
Since the last issue of the Back Pain Adviser, the site has added pages for your viewing:
Lower Back Pain Relief - what are the essential ingredients to remove lower back pain.
Back Pain in Pregnancy - what causes pregnancy back pain?
Pregnancy Exercise - what is the best exercise to do if you have pregnancy back pain.
Tip of the Month:
In previous Back Pain Adviser E-zines you have heard about when is best to stretch. Just as important is knowing how to stretch and why…
P.N.F stretches are proven to be the most effective way to improve flexibility and strength of your muscles. They create a “rebound” relaxation of the muscle, but the best part of using P.N.F is it only takes 6 seconds to stretch a muscle. This saves you time on those other endless stretches you may do.
For more on this type of stretching go to our web page on Back Stretches.
Article of the Month:
These articles are brief versions of articles published by Dr Teague in either Ezine articles or other article web sites. Dr Teague is a frequent contributor to these sites with articles on back pain, sciatica, and neck pain issues.
Are you one of the many people that believe muscles cause most back pain? Do you think that by stretching muscles your back pain will miraculously disappear? Leaving you free of back pain once and for all…
I don’t want to be the bearer of bad news, but you are not 100% correct.
Sure muscles cause back pain, so do joint distortion which is just as important. If you look closer to the muscular system you can see even more problems…
Muscles can cause pain because they are too tight and tense. However they can also cause back pain because they are too weak. Think of muscles as a "see-saw" – one side goes up and the other down. With muscles you can have one muscle that is too tight because an opposite muscle is too weak.
To correct all muscular imbalances you need to relax the tight muscles and increase the strength of the weaker muscles…
You are most likely aware of how to relax muscles, especially if you read the tip above. PNF stretching is by far the quickest and best way to relax muscular tension. If you stretch 3 times each day, with once being just prior to getting into bed, even within a few days you can see significant changes in muscle tension.
Knowing how to increase muscular strength is less understood. Increasing strength does not mean going to a gym and lifting weights. The first part of any strengthening program is to improve the nerve and blood supply to your muscles. Once this is correct then you find any strengthen exercise will help you gain strength in half the time.
For functional strength, which is what you need to help with any back pain issue, the nerve and blood supply is all that needs to change. Doing exercise helps to build up resistance to back pain if you are playing sport, doing your garden or lifting weights with day to day life.
The bid question remains…
How do you stimulate the nerve and blood supply to your muscles? This is achieved using techniques not usually taught by practitioners. There are reflexes and Acupressure points that stimulate muscles effectively and quickly. The muscles that need to be worked on are found by checking the muscles that work opposite to the tight tense muscles.
Checking for tight muscles is relatively straight forward. Checking for flexibility on each side is the quickest and easiest way to see which muscles are tight. Then use these as an indicator to stimulate the opposite muscles that are weak.
Combined you have muscular balance. Without muscular balance, back pain will return. For complete and total back pain elimination you need to address the 3 main causes of back pain – muscle tightness, muscle weakness and joint imbalance.
This is the goal of the Back Pain Advisor – to teach you simple and effective ways to eliminate back pain once and for all.

The Future – what do we have planned?
The Back Pain Advisor strives to continually update our site with informative, expert and valuable advice. In the coming month we plan to have the following web pages up and running:
Muscular Back Pain – a web page dedicated to the muscular aches and pains.
Pregnancy Back Pain – we plan to expand this section to add in more help and information topics.
Ongoing Development: The overall plan is to keep answering your questions, the things you email me about and what you want to see on the site. So keep the emails coming so we can keep developing the site into the best site on back pain issues.
Please remember, you can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions you have and want answered. These can be used as part of this section, but you will also get a personal reply to your questions. So please feel free to contact me with any ideas, issues or information you want to see on the Back Pain Adviser.
Q: I have had back pain for almost 5 years, does that mean it will take years to get better. Are there ways to speed this up, although I know I should have not left things this long already.
Well the simple answer is no! Just because you may have had aches and pains for years, healing doesn't take that long. Why?
Everything your body does is based on habit. It takes 31 days to form a habit and 31 days to break one. So it may take a month or two to get the great changes you look for. It will not necessarily be 100% after two months, but you should be able to do everything you want without pain. The fine tuning will be ongoing where your resistance to future injury increases.
The X-Pain Method was developed so that you can speed your recovery. I personally would not want to wait years to get better. So I don't!
All the techniques are there to relieve pain, correct joint and muscle imbalance, and repair the damage that has occurred. It sounds simple becuase it is simple. You heal a cut... so you can heal your back.
So don't worry if you have had pain ofr years, it will get better and fast!
Yes we have e-books to sell. The X-Pain Method is an e-book based on my practice methods. It teaches you ideal stretches – when to stretch, what to stretch and how to stretch. It has ways to improve the nerve and blood supply to muscles, which increase their strength. Ways you can re-align your spine and adjust specific spinal joints – painlessly, effectively and safely. This has never been seen before as practitioners do not want you to know what they do. You can now remove and prevent your back pain, sciatica and neck pain.
As a subscriber to our Back Pain Adviser E-zine, you gain discounts: For the following month before our next issue, we are continuing to offer an upgrade to the X-Pain Method so if you purchase the X-Pain Method you get the X-Stress Pack included. Usually the price for both is $37, but for only $27.47 you can order both.
